Travis Eck is the author and illustrator of the Otter the Auditor books. He lives in Houston with his wife, Shelley, and their three children; Arwen, Jonas, & Remy. Travis works full-time as an elementary art teacher and creates the Otter books whenever he can find free time. Prior to teaching he enjoyed a successful 13-year career as a graphic designer.

Otter came about unexpectedly from a random dad joke around the dinner table. That joke led to a funny sketch of a nerdy office otter. That sketch led to a background story, which then lead to a complex story that needed to be told!

Travis hopes that he and Otter will create many heart-warming stories together.
